THE BEACON’S CODE

Realm Rules

Effective August 25, 2026

The Architects’ Chronicles is a shared world. These rules protect the people who play here, the stories they create, and the realm we build together. By using the website or connecting to the game, you agree to follow them.

1. Treat people with respect

Do not harass, threaten, bully, stalk, or target other players. Discrimination, hate speech, slurs, sexual harassment, and unwanted sexual content are not welcome. Disagreements are part of a community; personal attacks are not.

2. Keep the game fair

Do not exploit bugs, duplicate items, bypass restrictions, interfere with the server, or use automation and unauthorized software to gain an advantage. Report suspected exploits privately to the administrators instead of sharing them publicly.

3. Protect accounts and privacy

Keep your account credentials private and do not access another person’s account. Do not publish personal information about another player, including names, addresses, contact details, or private correspondence, without permission.

4. Keep characters and roleplay appropriate

Character names, descriptions, messages, and roleplay must fit the setting and the audience of the realm. Do not impersonate administrators, staff, or another player. Do not use characters or communication channels to evade a moderation action.

5. Use channels responsibly

Keep public channels useful and readable. Avoid spam, flooding, repeated advertisements, disruptive arguments, and content that belongs in a private conversation. Do not use the game or website to promote illegal activity or unrelated commercial services.

6. Respect the world and its builders

Do not deliberately disrupt events, abuse commands, manipulate the economy, or interfere with another player’s ability to play. Builders and administrators may establish additional area, event, or channel guidelines when needed.

7. Follow administrator direction

Administrators may investigate reports, protect the service, and take action when conduct harms the community or threatens the game’s operation. Follow reasonable instructions during an investigation and do not obstruct moderation work.

The Architects, Masons, and Sentinels

Aurora is cared for by several staff groups, each with a different responsibility. Their purpose is to keep the world fair, welcoming, and working as intended—not to play a character’s adventure for them.

Architects

The Architects oversee Aurora’s greater vision, rules, systems, and long-term direction. They maintain the world’s foundations and may step in when a serious technical issue, policy concern, or world-level problem requires their attention.

Architects can investigate broken mechanics, review major issues, and clarify intended game rules. They will not normally reveal hidden systems, puzzle solutions, encounter details, exact difficulty values, or information that characters are meant to discover through play.

Masons

Masons build and maintain the living world of Aurora: its places, creatures, quests, items, stories, and events. They may investigate reports that an area, object, quest, or creature is not functioning properly, and they may host approved world events.

Masons do not provide personalized gear, currency, quest completion, or special items simply because they are requested. Any reward or item provided through an announced event will be available under the same stated conditions to all eligible players.

Sentinels

Sentinels help protect the community and uphold Aurora’s rules. They may address disruptive behavior, harassment, exploitation, cheating, unsafe conduct, or other concerns affecting the fairness and well-being of the game.

Sentinels are not judges of ordinary roleplay disagreements, and they do not use their position to gain an advantage for themselves, friends, guildmates, or any other player. Reports will be reviewed as fairly and discreetly as possible.

Asking for Help

When the ASSIST command is introduced, players will be able to use it to notify on-duty staff that they need help with a game-related problem. Staff may examine an issue, confirm whether something is working correctly, explain general mechanics, or direct a player to the appropriate resource.

Staff will not provide puzzle answers, disclose hidden mechanics or exact rolls, replace ordinary lost opportunities, advance quests, supply inventory, or give one player treatment unavailable to others.

All staff members are held to the same standard: no favoritism, no personal advantage, and no interference with the discoveries and challenges that make Aurora worth exploring.

Enforcement

Depending on the circumstances, action may include a reminder, removal of content, loss of privileges, character sanctions, temporary suspension, or permanent account closure. The administrators consider the severity, context, history, and impact of an incident. Attempts to evade sanctions may result in further action.

Questions and reports

Report harassment, security concerns, suspected exploits, or other rule violations through the game’s established support channel. Please include enough context for the administrators to investigate, and do not retaliate against someone who makes a good-faith report.

Changes to these rules

The realm and its community will evolve. The administrators may update these rules when necessary and will publish the current version here.
